The Khanapara Teer game is a legal archery-based lottery held at the Meghalaya border in East Khanapara, part of the Ri-Bhoi district. Organized by ThemMarwet, a collective of 12 archery clubs from the local area, this traditional game takes place near Themmarwet in the East Khanapara region.
The game follows specific rules regarding the number of arrows used. Each archer is required to shoot between 30 and 50 arrows per round. In total, 50 archers participate, collectively firing between 300 and 1000 arrows at the target. The final score is determined by the last two digits of the total number of arrows that hit the target. For example, if 650 arrows successfully hit, the resulting score would be 50.
